More Balance and Less Stress in Our Everyday Lives and Leadership
Your Balanced and Bold Life: Work Less, Live More, and Be Your Best
In a world with so many demands and expectations, balance is a strategic move.
“Encouraging, empowering, wise, funny.”
“I've never felt more seen than through your words on these pages.”
In a world with so many demands and expectations, balance is a strategic move.
Being busy, overwhelmed and working long hours, while sacrificing your well-being and family time, is simply not necessary and it is hurting your performance.
It's keeping you from being your best as a leader, as a parent, as a person.
Being busy, overwhelmed and working long hours, while sacrificing your well-being and family time, is simply not necessary and it is hurting your performance.
It's keeping you from being your best as a leader, as a parent, as a person.
I work with leaders and teams who want to go from being too busy and burning out to creating more balance, well-being and higher levels of performance.
You can work less and be more effective. You can feel happier and be your best at work and home even with all the demands and messiness of everyday life. You can lead by example by taking care of yourself and focusing on what really matters, creating a positive ripple effect for others around you.
This all starts with an understanding that our happiness and well-being fuel performance and success. Yet this is what's often sacrificed to "get the job done". The traditional thinking that if we just work harder, we will be successful and then we'll be happy, is backward and is undermining performance.
Because it is really hard to be your best when you are feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, scattered and pulled in so many directions, or sacrificing your values and what’s important to you.

What's on my mind?
I’ve spent the past few weeks at our cabin, enjoying the peace that only nature can offer. We’ll be heading back to the city soon, and I know I’ll miss my daily morning coffee by the lake!
But even within those peaceful moments, the everyday messiness of life was never too far behind because — let’s face it — life doesn’t take a vacation.
As the season begins to shift, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to navigate the inevitable transitions and demands that come with a busy life, especially as we get back into the school routine with kids and projects start ramping up.
Life can feel like a constant juggling act, especially when you’re a leader or working parent with too much on your plate. You’re not alone in feeling overwhelmed and stretched thin, trying to be everything to everyone.
But here’s the truth: you don’t have to balance it all.
Instead, we can prioritize better and say no a whole lot more. We can let go of the guilt and worry that consume our precious mental energy. We can be more present in our lives and stop feeling so darn stressed out and overwhelmed.
It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being intentional.
As we move into the next season, I want to help you be more balanced in your busy life and as a leader (I share some upcoming opportunities below). But first, let me be clear . . .
My life is NOT perfect, and I never want it to seem that way. Just like yours, it’s filled with ups and downs, and not all of that makes it into an email or on social media.
But even with the constant demands and messiness of everyday life, we can navigate our days with more focus, calm, and ease.
Here’s what can get you started (with some of recent posts from LinkedIn) . . .
Live and Lead with Your Values
Your values are your compass. When you lead with them, you make decisions that align with who you are and what truly matters to you. This makes it easier to prioritize what deserves your attention and let go of what doesn’t.
Protect Your Time and Energy with Boundaries
Boundaries aren’t just protective; they’re productive. By setting clear boundaries, you reserve your time and energy for the things that truly matter, whether it’s work, family, or simply taking care of yourself.
Calm Your Busy Mind
In a world that never stops, it’s easy for your mind to get caught in a whirlwind of thoughts, tasks, and worries with the mental load we carry—especially as women and moms. But you can create a sense of calm by learning to lighten the mental load.
Also, I have a recent post on how being perfect is overrated here.
Or Learn It All In My Book, Your Balanced and Bold Life: Work Less, Live More, and Be Your Best. It offers real stories, perspective, and practical strategies to help you take back control of your days, feel confident in your choices, and create more balance in your life. Already have it? I'd truly appreciate an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads.
You don’t have to do it all alone, and you don’t have to be perfect. It’s about making small, intentional changes that bring more balance and less stress into your life.
I’d love to support you on this journey.
