Feel Confident in Yourself and Your Choices

June 10, 20243 min read

Want to know what it takes to have confidence in yourself, even when the fear of failure is high?

The kind of confidence where you don’t give up on what you really want just because someone said 'no', you didn’t hit your goal, or it seems too hard.

The kind of confidence where you put yourself out there and make choices right for you—because you trust in your ability to handle whatever comes your way.

Even if someone might not like it or judge you!

Real confidence like this is the willingness to put yourself out there and not let fear hold you back.

It's about being okay with messing up and getting it wrong sometimes, trusting that you’ll figure it out.

It's about getting up from stumbles and moving forward.

It’s the ability to calm your mind amid the fears and doubts that WILL pop up. And to make sure those fears and doubts are in the passenger seat while you’re the driver.

It's NOT about feeling 100% sure of yourself all the time.

This is the kind of confidence that helped me to stop overworking in my corporate career, create a business aligned with my values today, and see through weeks (like the last week in May) when so many things seem to be going wrong.

It’s the kind of confidence that can help you to trust in yourself and your decisions more, and spend less time overthinking your every move.

To help you speak up and not let anxious feelings keep you from saying what’s really on your mind.

To not let the fear of failure hold you back from what you truly want and need.

Or feel like you have to pretend you have it all together.

It’s the kind of inner confidence that will help you get up when you stumble or face a bigger setback.

And to keep moving forward.

The truth is, no one feels totally confident all the time or has it all together.

You can still feel confident in your ability to figure things out, whatever may happen.

And as you tap into this kind of inner confidence, you will free up so much of the time and mental energy you expend on overthinking and worrying about what people think (ask me how I know!)

So what would you do if you had this kind of confidence? What would you go for that really matters to you, even though someone might not like it?

What is one choice you would make today if you were feeling confident in yourself? Be bold and do that.

Tip: You'll instantly gain confidence when you let go of worrying about what people will think.

In my book, Your Balanced and Bold Life, I have an entire chapter on feeling confident in yourself and your choices so you can free up time and energy, and feel empowered to make choices right for YOU.

Choices that are aligned with your values, boundaries, and real priorities.

Instead of sacrificing your career or your family (or yourself) to be successful, we are going to sacrifice the overwhelm, doubts, worry, and wasting time and energy on what matters less.
