To All The Superhero Moms Out There

To All The Superhero Moms Out There

May 06, 20223 min read

To the mom who feels exhausted from working long hours or being pulled in 8000 directions, give yourself permission to take a break and rest.

To the mom who feels like she is failing because she didn’t get the to-do list done or the house is a mess, give yourself permission to say F-it and focus on all that you have done.

To the mom who puts everyone else's needs first, give yourself permission to make yourself happy and do something that gives YOU joy (you’ll be a better mom for it).

To the mom who is stressing about what you will cook for supper tonight or the big presentation next week, give yourself permission to keep it simple and make it easier on yourself.

To the mom who wants to knock it out of the park in her career and doubts that you’re capable or confident enough to balance it all, give yourself permission to go for it and be the kick-ass leader in your life that you are.

To the mom who sits in her car or the bathroom for a few extra minutes alone because you simply want a peaceful moment or to catch your breath, give yourself permission to be okay taking those minutes (we all need them at times).

To the mom who wants to be more present with her family and in her life, give yourself permission to slow down and be in the moment. Your life is right now and the small everyday moments are the best part.

To the mom who says she is "fine", but feels overwhelmed on the inside, give yourself permission to figure out what you need to make it better. Life can be so much better than settling for fine.

To the mom who dreams that she is meant for more, give yourself permission to take the leap and go for it because if you’re dreaming it, it is possible for you.

To the mom who lost her s$#@ on her kid last night, give yourself permission to forgive yourself, learn from it and move on. They love you and they will be okay.

To the mom who feels happy, excited and fulfilled in her life, give yourself permission to be proud of that and that it’s okay to want even more (if you do).

To the mom who is hoping for the flowers or the card or the surprise breakfast this weekend, give yourself permission for YOU to do something special just for you.

To the mom who keeps showing up and has no idea how much of a superhero she is, give yourself permission to cut yourself some slack and celebrate your awesomeness.

Happy Mother's Day!
